ROBORACE Guidelines:

Introduction: Roborace is a robotics challenge where teams design manually operated bots to tackle a challenging obstacle course. This event emphasizes innovative design, precise control, and speed as participants compete to conquer rugged terrain and complete tasks efficiently.

Guidelines:

• Teams of 2-4 participants compete in this event.
• Bots must be self-designed and comply with specific size and weight limitations.
• The event involves navigating a challenging obstacle course and completing tasks like maneuvering through tight spaces or overcoming hurdles.

Format:

• Simulation Type: Obstacle-based course involving multiple checkpoints.
• Objective: To complete the course by obtaining maximum points in minimum time.

Rules:

• The dimensions of the bot should be less than or equal to 30 cm × 25 cm × 25 cm (l×b×h) failing which the team will be disqualified from the competition (this includes tires). An error of (±5%) is permitted. The dimensions of the remote are not included in the size constraint of the bot.
• The bot must be controlled manually only by one person, irrespective of the mechanism used.
• Both wired and wireless control options are available to teams. In the case of wired bots, the wire length should be at least 2 meters to ensure that the cable remains slack at all times. Participants should use a dual-frequency remote, Bluetooth, or Wi-Fi if they employ wireless technologies.
• The bot must have an onboard power supply case for wireless usage.
•  Participants are not permitted to use any prefabricated Lego parts or grasping mechanisms. Participants may, however, use pre-assembled gear assemblies.

Judging Criteria:

• Points are scored by completing checkpoints. Penalties and time bonuses also apply.
• Teams need to score the maximum amount of points. In the case of a tie-breaker, time taken by the bot will be considered.
• The decision of the judges will be final and will not be subjected to any argument.
